3.      Membaca              : Memahami tulisan bahasa Inggris sederhana

4.      Menulis                 : Mengeja dan menyalin tulisan bahasa Inggris sederhana



B.     Basic Competence:

1.    Merespon dengan cara mengulang kosa kata baru dengan ucapan lantang.

2.    Merespon instruksi guru dan teman di dalam kelas secara verbal.

3.    Melakukan percakapan untuk meminta dan memberi bantuan dan barang. 

4.    Membaca nyaring dengan intonasi yang tepat dan memahami kalimat dan teks deskriptif bergambar sederhana.

5.    Mengeja kosa kata bahasa Inggris sederhana secara tepat.

6.    Memahami kalimat dan pesan tertulis sederhana.



C.     Indicators Communication and Language Objective:

Students are able to ask for and give directions.



D.     Aims:

Students are able to identify and describe directions using command  and information questions with how.

Pre-Activity
Ø  Teacher shows a picture (page 64/A).
Ø  Students are asked some questions related to the picture:
o   What can you see?
I can see ….
o   What is it doing?
It’s turning left/right.

Whilst Activity
Ø  Teacher points out the pictures and reads loudly.
o   Turn right here.
o   The bridge goes over the river.
o   Let’s run down the hill.
o   My house is on this block.
o   Turn left here.
o   Let’s use the crosswalk.
Ø  Teacher plays the audio (CD track 41)
Ø  Students listen to and repeat the teacher voice/audio again.

Ø  After students are familiar with the names of the country, they are asked to practice simple conversations:
o   How do I get to the toyshop?
Turn left at the corner.
o   How do I get to the station?
Go over the bridge and turn right.
o   How do I get to the park?
Go over the bridge.
o   How do I get to the library?
Turn right at the corner.
Ø  Students are asked to practice the simple conversation with partner.

Ø  Teacher asks students to open the worksheet (page 13/D)
Ø  Teacher explains how to complete the worksheet.
Ø  Students are asked to start completing the worksheet.
Ø  Teacher and students check the work together.
