1.      Mendengar            : Memahami instruksi sederhana dengan respon berupa tindakan.
2.      Berbicara             : Mengungkapkan dan menanyakan informasi sederhana dalam konteks kelas
3.      Membaca              : Memahami tulisan bahasa Inggris sederhana
4.      Menulis                 : Mengeja dan menyalin tulisan bahasa Inggris sederhana

B.     Basic Competence:
1.    Merespon dengan cara mengulang kosa kata baru dengan ucapan lantang.
2.    Merespon instruksi guru dan teman di dalam kelas secara verbal.
3.    Melakukan percakapan untuk meminta dan memberi bantuan dan barang.
4.    Membaca nyaring dengan intonasi yang tepat dan memahami kalimat dan teks deskriptif bergambar sederhana.
5.    Mengeja kosa kata bahasa Inggris sederhana secara tepat.
6.    Memahami kalimat dan pesan tertulis sederhana.

C.     Indicators Communication and Language Objective:
Students are able to describe people based on personal characteristics and ask the follow-up questions.
D.     Aims:
Students are able to describe personal characteristics using adjectives: smart, athletic….and like to ask for descriptions of personalities

Ø  Teacher shows a picture on page 25/C.
Ø  Teacher asks students to open the book and look at the pictures
Ø  Teacher plays the CD track 10.
Ø  Students are asked to listen and read the dialog.
Ø  Teacher gives questions:
o   Does Eric want a little brother or a little sister?
May be a little brother.
o   Is he excited?
Yes, he is. He’s nervous, too.

Whilst Activity
Ø  Students are asked to practice the pattern of the dialog orally with the book closed.
Max: Do you want a little brother or little sister?
Eric : I don’t know. May be a little brother.
Max: Are you excited?
Eric : Yes, but I’m nervous, too.
Max: Don’t worry. You are very nice. You’re fun and energetic
Eric: Really? Thanks.

Ø  It can be done in pairs.
