B.     Basic Competence:

1.      Merespon dengan cara mengulang kosa kata baru dengan ucapan lantang.

2.      Merespon instruksi guru dan teman di dalam kelas secara verbal

3.      Melakukan percakapan untuk meminta atau memberi informasi yang melibatkan tindak tutur yang digunakan dalam kegiatan sehari-hari.

4.      Membaca nyaring dengan intonasi yang tepat dan memahami kalimat dan teks deskriptif bergambar sederhana.

5.      Mengeja kosa kata bahasa Inggris sederhana secara tepat.

6.      Memahami kalimat dan pesan tertulis sederhana

Ø  Teacher shows a picture (page 70/A).
Ø  Teacher asks students about the picture.
o   What can you see?
o   I can see …?
o   What’s this?
o   It’s a (shooting star).
o   Etc.

Whilst Activity
Ø  Teacher shows a picture/flashcards (page 70/A).
Ø  Teacher asks questions while pointing picture/showing flash cards.
o   Shooting star. Look it’s a shooting star!
o   Sunset.  Look at the sunset.
o   Star gazing. Let’s go star gazing.
o   Eclipse. Look at the eclipse.
o   Sunrise. Let’s watch the sunrise tomorrow.
o   Etc.
Ø  Teacher gives each student a different flash card of different activities.
Ø  Teacher give an example of dialog from picture on page 70/B with some student.
o   T : How often do you see a full moon?
o   S1: About.One a month.
o   T : How often do you see a beautiful sunset?
o   S2: Once or twice a month.

Ø  Students are asked to practice the patterns in the dialog orally with partner and use different pictures from page 70/A.

Ø  Teacher asks students to open the worksheet.
Ø  Teacher explains how to complete the worksheet.
Ø  Students are asked to start completing the worksheet.
Ø  Teacher and students check the work together.
