1.    Merespon dengan cara mengulang kosa kata baru dengan ucapan lantang.

2.    Merespon instruksi guru dan teman di dalam kelas secara verbal.

3.    Melakukan percakapan untuk meminta dan memberi bantuan dan barang. 

4.    Membaca nyaring dengan intonasi yang tepat dan memahami kalimat dan teks deskriptif bergambar sederhana.

5.    Mengeja kosa kata bahasa Inggris sederhana secara tepat.

6.    Memahami kalimat dan pesan tertulis sederhana.

Ø  Teacher asks some questions:
o   What can you see?
I can see ….
o   How much is this?
It’s (twenty dollars).
o   Etc.

Whilst Activity
Ø  Teacher points out the pictures and makes sentences or plays audio CD track 37
o   I like to read magazines.
o   I have three dollars and seventy-eight.
o   This toothbrush is expensive.
o   I like to watch DVDs at home.
o   I like to read the newspaper.
o   This toothbrush is cheap.

Ø  Teacher shows the next picture and asks some questions.
o   Where are they?
They are in a supermarket.
o   What do you think she/he wants
I think she/he wants a new movie/some cereal.

Ø Teacher shows flash cards of the item from 70/A and practice a conversation with every one:
o   T: (shows the toothbrush flash cards with its cost) How much is that toothbrush?
S: It’s one dollar and fifty cents.
Ø Students are asked to practice the pattern of the dialog with partner.
