B.     Basic Competence:

1.      Merespon dengan cara mengulang kosa kata baru dengan ucapan lantang.

2.      Merespon instruksi guru dan teman di dalam kelas secara verbal

3.      Melakukan percakapan untuk meminta atau memberi informasi yang melibatkan tindak tutur yang digunakan dalam kegiatan sehari-hari.

4.      Membaca nyaring dengan intonasi yang tepat dan memahami kalimat dan teks deskriptif bergambar sederhana.

5.      Mengeja kosa kata bahasa Inggris sederhana secara tepat.

6.      Memahami kalimat dan pesan tertulis sederhana.

Students are able to express where they are going and give reasons for going to those placesusing present progressive + (verb)+ing.

Ø  Teacher shows a pictures of page 56/A& B
Ø  Students are asked some questions related to the picture:
o   What can you see?
I can see (super market).
o   What’s this?
It’s butter.
o   Who works at a (post office?
Mail carriers work at a post office.
o   Etc.

Whilst Activity
Ø  Teacher shows the picture or flash cards of page 38/A.
Ø  Teacher points out each picture and say the name /make sentence about the picture in turn.
o   Letter. I wrote a letter to my friend.
o   Butter. I put butter on my pancake.
o   Post office.Let’s go to the post office.
o   Bread. I like to eat bread.
o   Supermarket.Let’s go to supermarket.
o   Packages. We send some packages to Grandma.
o   Etc.
Ø  Students listen and repeat what the teacher says.

Ø  Teacher shows the picture of 56/B and asks some questions:
o   What can you see?
I can see ….
o   What does she/he like to do?
He/she likes to ….
o   Etc.

Post Activity
Ø  Teacher asks students to open the worksheet.
Ø  Teacher explains how to complete the worksheet.
Ø  Students are asked to start completing the worksheet.
Ø  Teacher and students check the work together.
